Chemical processes with amixon® mixing technology
Chemical processes with amixon® mixing technology
amixon® develops and manufactures customised mixers, agglomerators, vacuum dryers and synthesis reactors for the chemical industry. amixon® mixers and reactors are permanently gas-tight and robust. They mix without dead space. They always achieve ideal mixing qualities for all types of solid mixtures. It does not matter whether the materials to be mixed are dry, moist or wet.
amixon® equipment is also a trendsetter in terms of hygienic equipment design and residual discharge.

Thanks to oversized strength reserves and stress crack-resistant designs, our equipment is insensitive to sudden temperature changes and premature material fatigue. Even under the most demanding process conditions – whether vacuum, overpressure or protective gas – they work permanently tight, hygienically and reliably.
On request, we carry out a comprehensive service life calculation. We record thermal, chemical and dynamic fatigue factors. Based on the results, we recommend suitable materials, appropriate welding processes and optimised designs for pressure equipment.
amixon® equipment is designed for longevity – many units have been in reliable service for over 30 years. They are consistently designed to avoid unplanned downtime. Critical factors such as leaks, corrosion, failure of shaft seals, material wear or premature fatigue are detected predictively and eliminated in advance through design measures.
Design and manufacture comply with international standards
- Design, calculation and manufacture take place exclusively in Germany
- EU Pressure Equipment Directive
- AD 2000
- ASME
- Asian regulations
- As an HP-0-certified welding company, we also process high-alloy materials such as 1.4539, 1.4529, 1.4462, Alloy 59, Superduplex and Hastelloy C-22, as well as burst-plated metals on request.
Versatility and process integration
amixon® mixers enable both gentle homogenisation and intensive mixing and dispersion in the same machine.

- Coating of detergent substances
- Coating with water-soluble polymers
amixon® devices are particularly effective in thermodynamic processes
The high efficiency of amixon® devices is based on two design principles.
- Mixing is always three-dimensional and free of dead space. This also applies when the mixing tools rotate slowly. This creates ideal conditions for heat transfer and material exchange.
Both the mixing shaft and the mixing helix are fully temperature-controlled (water vapour, pressurised water or thermal oil). This ensures uniform heat transfer across all surfaces that come into contact with the product.
- Convection drying
- Contact drying (atmospheric or under vacuum)
- Reaction control
- Stripping
- Phase separation under vacuum, pressure or temperature change
- amixon® offers valuable assistance with thermodynamic design.
