ComDisc

ComDisc® (the amixon® brand name stands for ‘complete discharge’) refers to a discharge and residue-free emptying system for amixon® mixers, dryers, reactors and Gyraton® silo mixers. The ComDisc® tools are mounted on hinges on the lower mixing arm and are made of wear-resistant, food-grade plastic. This material is hygienic, sterilisable and easy to replace.

During the mixing process, the ComDisc® elements float through the mixture in the wake of the flow and have virtually no effect on the mixing kinetics. Only as the fill level decreases do they sink, skim across the bottom of the mixing chamber and guide the remaining product to the outlet without any segregation. As a result, only a few grams of powder remain in the apparatus. In this way, ComDisc® increases batch yield to up to 99.98%. At the same time, waste and cleaning times are reduced. ComDisc® and SinConvex® systems can be used in almost all amixon® mixers.
