OptiKleen

OptiKleen^® is a design of inspection doors developed by amixon^® for powder mixers and other process equipment. The O-ring seal runs close to the product. This also applies to cylindrical-conical transitions. This design concept enables convenient access to the process chamber. It combines high-level sealing performance with hygienic design and ease of operation.

From a design perspective, OptiKleen^® aims to minimise dead spaces and ensure uniform sealing pressure. The sealing line is positioned so that no shielded, hard-to-clean gaps are created, and the interior can be fully inspected and cleaned. The defined O-ring seat ensures that the apparatus remains permanently gas-tight.

In practice, OptiKleen doors enable rapid inspections, manual cleaning and sampling without compromising process reliability. Product build-up is reduced thanks to the flush integration into the vessel contour. The design supports both dry cleaning and CIP/WIP procedures, as all surfaces in contact with the product are easily accessible, fully wettable and free of dead spaces.
