Floor drain fitting

A bottom shut-off valve is a shut-off valve located beneath the bottom of a tank or mixer. It seals the tank off from below in a product-tight manner and can be opened selectively for emptying. Typical designs in bulk solids processing technology include flaps, rotary valves, segmented ball valves or specially designed metering elements that regulate the product flow whilst also serving as a secure bottom shut-off.

In amixon® powder mixers, the bottom discharge valve serves as both a dead-space-free discharge and shut-off valve. Amixon® has developed the special “DosiFlap®” design. It seals the mixing chamber gas- and dust-tight during mixing and can precisely ‘cut off’ the outflowing product stream during discharge to fill big bags or containers accurately. In addition to sealing performance, cleanability, hygiene requirements and – depending on the application – pressure and vacuum resistance as well as ATEX compliance play a decisive role.
