Filling valve
A filling valve is a process engineering component that guides, seals and, where required, meters the product flow when filling powders, granulates or liquids into a process vessel. Typical designs include filling nozzles with docking systems for bulk containers or big bags, flap and slide valves, as well as rotary and swivel flaps, which are combined with dust extraction or venting connections.
In the context of amixon® mixers, the filling fitting is used to securely connect standard bulk material containers to the mixer, allow the contents to flow into the mixing chamber in a controlled manner, and seal the inlet in a gas- and dust-tight manner during the mixing process. A suitably designed filling fitting contributes to complete emptying, the prevention of product losses and compliance with hygiene and ATEX requirements.
