Batch mixer
A batch mixer is a mixing unit that does not operate on a continuous flow basis, but instead takes in, mixes and discharges discrete quantities of product (batches) one after the other. The mixing process typically follows a defined sequence: filling, mixing (often with optional process steps such as the addition of liquids, temperature control or gas injection) and complete emptying before the next batch begins.
Batch mixers are used wherever formulations change frequently, strict traceability is required, or a very high mixing quality needs to be achieved within clearly defined batches. amixon® batch mixers for powders and granulates are designed to achieve gentle yet intensive three-dimensional mixing even with very different bulk densities and formulation compositions, and to allow for virtually complete discharge. This facilitates product changeovers, reduces cross-contamination and ensures consistent quality in every single batch. amixon® sees itself as a trendsetter for vertical precision powder mixers and is therefore a global pioneer in terms of mixing quality, residual discharge, hygiene, range of applications and ease of use.
