Gyraton® silo mixers are a symbiosis of silo and precision mixer
In the industrial processing of bulk materials, two previously incompatible requirements come into conflict. On the one hand, silos of various sizes are used to store powdered products.
- If these are not homogeneous, however, homogenization cannot take place in the silo.
- On the other hand, precision mixers produce perfect mixing results, but their batch volume is usually limited to around 10 m³ for economic reasons.
The Gyraton® mixing silo from amixon® combines both functions in one system. It can mix large batches of up to 100 m³ homogeneously – precisely, efficiently, and with an astonishingly small drive motor. The Gyraton® thus sets new standards in the processing of bulk materials..
How does the Gyraton® mixing silo work?
The mixing tool combines two types of movement, creating a novel mixing principle. The mixing shaft performs a precession movement, the center of which is located above the mixing chamber. At the same time, the mixing spiral rotates around its own axis. This ensures that the entire interior is mixed evenly and without dead space.
The advantage of this superimposition of two movements is that they can take place at any desired speed. In contrast to conventional precision mixers, there are no restrictions in terms of efficiency and mixing quality. The Gyraton mixing silo can adjust the mixing process as required in accordance with the available electrical power.
