Gyraton® mixing silo.
The Gyraton® mixing silo was the focus of the award. With the help of a very small motor, it can homogenise large volumes of bulk material of up to 100 m³ in a technically ideal manner. The mixing process is carried out by a mixing spiral that stands almost upright in the silo. The spiral rotates and simultaneously performs a precession movement. This combination creates a novel mixing mechanism. The process can be operated at very low rotational frequencies. In this respect, the process is particularly gentle and requires only minimal drive power.
The Gyraton® silo mixer uses the storage time to achieve ideal mixing quality. It does not matter whether the materials to be mixed flow well or poorly, are moist or dry, or whether they are fine or coarse-grained. Gyraton mixing silos can be operated either in batches or continuously.

amixon® develops and manufactures high-quality equipment for mixing, reacting and drying powders and bulk materials. Almost every machine is unique. The systems are custom-made for specific processing tasks. They function as precision mixers, agglomerators, synthesis reactors or vacuum contact dryers. They are used for the efficient refinement of a wide variety of powdered products.
Despite manufacturing in batch size 1, amixon® invests heavily in the automation of its own processes. This begins with design and continues through work preparation and purchasing. Documentation creation, customs clearance with country-specific import requirements, freight organisation, supervision and on-site commissioning also follow standardised procedures. The goal is to achieve a high level of process reliability for each individual machine.
amixon® manufactures six different types of vertical precision mixers. Each of these mixers is a versatile all-rounder, but has specific strengths for certain process tasks.
The devices cover almost the entire spectrum of industrial bulk material processing. They mix, homogenise, moisten, agglomerate, react or dry powders and granulates.
