Test machines

Test machines are machines or apparatus specifically designed for experiments, tests and feasibility studies. They realistically simulate industrial processes on a reduced scale. The aim is to systematically investigate product properties, process parameters and process limits.

In process engineering, pilot-scale equipment is used for mixing, drying, reaction and processing operations. It enables the testing of different materials, formulations and operating conditions. The results serve as the basis for process development, design and scale-up.

The pilot machines can be flexibly configured. Speed, temperature, fill level and pressure can be precisely adjusted. Measurement and sampling equipment enables detailed analysis. Reproducible test procedures are of central importance. At amixon®, test machines are used both in our own technical centre and on-site at the customer’s premises. Mobile test machines make it possible to investigate processes under real production conditions, for example with temperature-sensitive or safety-critical products.

Pilot testing using amixon® test machines reduces development risks. This provides planning certainty for industrial plants. It also shortens project timelines.
