outlet nozzle

A discharge spout is a pipe or flange connection located at the bottom of a tank, silo or mixer. It is used to discharge the product from the equipment. The spout may be cylindrical, conical or a specially shaped component.

It is often combined with shut-off devices, such as gate valves, butterfly valves or metering screws. The shape, angle and dimensions of the outlet spout influence the flow behaviour of the bulk material and help determine whether mass flow, shaft formation or bridging occurs.

amixon® offers special discharge valves for gas-tight, dead-space-free mixing operations. The DosiFlap® discharge valve can restrict and stop the flow of bulk material as it exits. It opens and closes in a metered manner, thereby enabling controlled, low-emission discharge. In hygienic or aseptic applications, the discharge nozzle is also designed so that it can be easily cleaned and is CIP-compatible thanks to a Clever-Cut® inspection flap.
