amixon® vacuum mixing dryers and reactors combine mixing, vacuum contact drying and reaction processing in a single vacuum- and pressure-resistant unit. A vertically mounted screw-conveyor mixing element generates three-dimensional product movement by conveying the material upwards along the vessel wall and allowing it to flow downwards in the centre. The vessel, mixing helix, mixing arms and mixing shaft can be temperature-controlled; the continuous re-distribution of the material thus promotes uniform heat transfer. Depending on the model, the units are suitable for the gentle processing of powders, suspensions and paste-like products under vacuum.
