Container loading
The picture shows an amixon® cone mixer in the upper position. It is filling a bulk container. To fill the mixer, it moves into the lower position.
Container filling refers to the process of filling powders, granules or other bulk materials into bulk or transport containers using filling stations specifically designed for this purpose. Such stations usually feature a docking head with a seal, a filling nozzle, venting or dust extraction, and, optionally, an integrated weighing system to load containers quickly, with minimal dust generation and to a defined mass.
In the context of amixon® mixers, container filling usually involves the finished mixed product being discharged directly from the mixer via a bottom discharge valve into a bulk container positioned underneath. Docking devices ensure a dust-tight connection between the mixer outlet and the container, so that the containers can be used both to supply the mixer (filling) and to receive the finished mixture (emptying the mixer).
